Eden Academy – General Behaviour Policy
At Eden Academy, we are committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all participants. Whether attending our regular programs or special events like the Future Trek Summer Camp, participants and their parents/guardians agree to abide by the following behavior guidelines:
Respect and Kindness
- Treat others with respect: All participants are expected to show respect and kindness toward their peers, staff, and themselves. Bullying, teasing, or aggressive behavior will not be tolerated.
- Use polite language: Participants must use appropriate, respectful language. Offensive, discriminatory, or derogatory remarks are strictly prohibited.
Safety and Responsibility
- Follow instructions: To ensure safety, participants are expected to follow the instructions given by staff at all times.
- Stay within designated areas: Participants must remain in the designated areas for activities and may not leave without permission from a staff member.
- Respect property: Participants should care for all equipment and facilities. Any intentional damage will lead to disciplinary action and may require compensation.
Participation and Attitude
- Be engaged: Active participation with a positive attitude is encouraged during all activities.
- Be punctual: Participants should arrive on time and remain punctual throughout the day.
Health and Hygiene
- Maintain personal hygiene: Participants should practice good hygiene, including regular hand washing and keeping personal areas tidy.
- Notify staff of health concerns: Any health issues or injuries should be promptly reported to staff.
Electronics and Personal Belongings
- Limit electronic use: Personal devices like mobile phones or tablets should only be used minimally during designated times or with staff permission. Eden Academy is not responsible for lost or damaged personal items.
- Leave valuables at home: It is advised that participants do not bring valuable items, as Eden Academy is not responsible for any lost or stolen belongings.
Consequences for Misbehavior
Participants who do not adhere to these policies may face the following consequences:
- Verbal Warning: A staff member will address the behavior and remind the participant of the rules.
- Time-Out: The participant may be temporarily removed from activities to reflect on their behavior.
- Parent/Guardian Notification: Parents or guardians may be contacted to assist in addressing the issue.
- Dismissal: Severe or repeated misbehavior may result in the participant’s dismissal from the program without a refund.
By adhering to this behavior policy, we can ensure that all participants enjoy a safe, fun, and enriching experience at Eden Academy.
